According to Google’s announcement, the feature is now available for Workspace Essentials, Business Standard, Business Plus, Enterprise Essentials, Enterprise Standard, and Enterprise Plus users. That is, in addition to G Suite Business and Enterprise for Education customers. While breakout rooms will split participants into smaller groups, moderators will still be able to join any breakout room they want via the moderator panel. Moreover, moderators will be allowed to set timers for breakout rooms. Once such a timer runs out, participants will be asked to return to the main Google Meet call. Apart from all that, the Mountain View giant has also announced that it will support adding anonymous users to breakout rooms within two weeks. Google Meet supports up to 100 breakout rooms in a call. While the software randomly assigns people into breakout rooms, moderators will be able to manually move people to different rooms if needed.
